Medium Box
We've been growing vegetables for CSA boxes for 10 years now
and we've gotten pretty good at it.  What is now the Medium box
has been our standard box up until this year. We used to say that it
was enough to feed two vegetarians for one week, or a family of four
non-vegetarians.  But that wasn't true for everyone.

Our medium box today is the result of a long-term relationship with
our subscribers.  It contains a variety of fruit and vegetables each week --
always what is in season -- in amounts that people have told us works for them.
Most subscribers have households of 2-5 people, and cook many of their meals.

We have found that our customers are not looking for a bargain if it means
throwing produce away at the end of the week -- we do not load the boxes
up with unwanted extras.  For food bargain hunters, the Large Box is
probably a better choice.  On the other hand, the values we set
for each item do not fluctuate based on market availability, as they do in the
store.  They are prices that are fair to both you and us, and you would find
that over time, our CSA will probably save you money over retail shopping.

That said, CSA eating involves learning to eat what is plentiful and in
season.  It also involves a bit more commitment and creativity, but our
long-term customers have found it a healthy and rewarding way to get
their daily dose of fruit and vegetables.
