Do you live by yourself?, or
live with one other person and eat out half your meals?, or
have a larger household but only cook once or twice a week?, then

We recommend our new, smaller CSA box

At $14 weekly ($59/month @ 4.25 weeks/month), this box is an affordable way to get fresh, locally grown produce without worrying too much about waste.  These are our guidelines in putting together the box each week:

--Focus on food that doesn't need cooking.  Fruit portions will often be the same as in the medium box.
Examples:  You will get citrus, strawberries, cherry tomatoes, and other easy-to-snack-on items (in season).
--Stick to the basics.  You won't get items you can't identify or have never eaten.
Examples:  Radicchio, arugula, kolrabi, okra, etc.
--Fridgeproof foods:  You'll always get a few vegetables that will keep for over a week
Examples:  Cabbage, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, winter squash, onions, garlic.
--Diversity over time.  The size of the box limits the number of different items in it each week.  But we guarantee that the boxes will vary significantly from week to week
Example:  You might get bunch of potatoes or carrots one week, but you won't get them two or three weeks in a row.
--All the other perks are included.    Small box subscribers get the same newsletter as other subscribers.
You will always have the list for the medium box to compare, and we are very responsive to feedback.
--Upgrade at any time    Many of our subscribers become die-hard vegetable addicts.  If this happens to you, you need only to give us seven days notice to upgrade to either the medium box or large box membership.   Upgrades are $9 per week per increment  until the next monthly billing cycle.
